Kydex, the ideal material for making robust and durable holsters

At TRB, we exclusively use 2 mm (0.8") Kydex sheets for the manufacture of our custom holsters. This choice is not insignificant: Kydex is an innovative composite material, designed specifically for thermoforming , which combines the properties of two key components — acrylic and polyvinyl chloride (PVC).

What is Kydex?

Kydex is an acrylic-PVC composite. This unique combination gives the material exceptional mechanical and chemical properties. More specifically:

Kydex derives its rigidity and its ability to be precisely molded during thermoforming from acrylic . This allows for the creation of shapes perfectly adapted to the specific needs of each holster, ensuring optimal weapon retention.
From PVC , it derives its toughness, chemical resistance, and excellent interior finish qualities. PVC also provides good wear resistance and waterproofing, protecting the holster from external damage.

The advantages of Kydex for holsters and accessories

Kydex has several qualities that justify its use in the manufacture of holsters, knife sheaths and other tactical accessories:

Natural retention after thermoforming : Kydex firmly holds the molded object without requiring additional adjustments, ensuring a secure fit.

If you're looking for a reputable company, I advise you to avoid this one. I placed an order in June 2026. I waited four months to finally receive a refund after having to threaten legal action because I hadn't heard anything in the meantime. I didn't even receive an apology email, just one confirming the refund. I'm even disappointed to have to give them one star. The worst part is that they don't reply to emails and are unreachable by phone. Judging by the other reviews, I was clearly not the only one, nor the first.

Order placed at the beginning of September, mid-October, no news... I tried contacting customer service and after 4 follow-up emails, still no response... TRB has lost its credibility, my advice is to go to the competition, at least you'll get your money's worth... Review from a very disappointed former customer who will be going to the competition for future orders.

I unfortunately agree with the other reviews. I placed an order several months ago and have received no updates despite my follow-up emails. I had anticipated a fairly generous delivery time of two months, which was clearly not enough for this company. I have filed a refund request with the DGCCRF (French Directorate General for Competition Policy, Consumer Affairs and Fraud Control).

If it were possible, I would give zero stars. I paid for my order on August 25, 2026, and a few hours later I sent an email to clarify the delivery address, but I received no response. As of September 30, I have already sent four emails and still no reply. There is no phone number listed on the website. Very disappointed, I do not recommend this service.

I ordered a holster along with an Olight PLX flashlight. Aware of the manufacturing delays, I was patient. I was promised production and delivery by the end of August. At the beginning of September, faced with a complete lack of communication, I tried contacting them again, sending one email per week, which went unanswered, as did my messages on social media. I had to open a PayPal dispute for a tracking number to magically appear two days later, still without a single word from them. Unfortunately, the package I received was incomplete: I only received the holster; the Olight flashlight is still missing, and the radio silence resumed with even greater silence. To top it all off, given their lack of professionalism and communication, I'm not even sure the holster I received actually fits my firearm. As a result, I'm forced to open another dispute. This company should be avoided at all costs. There are much better, more reputable manufacturers who respect their customers.

My order has been pending since August 10, 2026… I followed up by email in early September and was told I would receive my order that month. Today, September 25, still nothing, and judging by the comments, I think I'll have to wait even longer. They're no longer replying to my emails. It's a shame it's a French company, but I'll pass next time. €400 for the order plus €10 for delivery is unacceptable…

I placed my order in early July, and by early August they indicated it was expected in August. As of September 11th, I still haven't received any updates or replies to my emails. This is my second order; the first one was significantly delayed. It's a holster for a Sigpro, and to make matters worse, a screw broke on the first holster after only two months. I will never order from here again and I do not recommend this site to anyone!

The product quality is undeniable. However, for everything else, you lose a star. Six months' delay in delivery after two follow-up emails is unacceptable... You're behind schedule, communicate! I need to buy a belt, and I'm really hesitant to order it from you if it will take six months to arrive. I make an effort to buy French, but this isn't motivating me. What a shame! Give me a good reason to buy from you!!!

The products seem well-made, but after placing an order in early August, the delivery promises have not been kept. It took a month to receive a Kydex trigger guard holster for a Glock 19. They should have these in stock. There has been no communication from them. They no longer respond to emails, and the contact form is no longer working.
